I'll admit that I only skimmed that article, but I didn't see where it said that THE MAJORITY of wrasses that are kept in most reef tanks SLEEP IN SAND?
Your arguing for the sake of it, look at reef safe wrasse in liveaquairia or whatever fish website you look at. Once you've done that look at the species family name for example:
The Halichoeres family of wrasses
Marble/Hortulanus Wrasse (Halichoeres hortulanus)
Christmas Wrasse (Halichoeres claudia )
Radiant Wrasse (Halichoeres iridis)
Grey Head Wrasse (Halichoeres leucurus)
Dusky Wrasse (Halichoeres annularis)
Adorned Wrasse (Halichoeres cosmetus)
Green Wrasse (Halichoeres chloropterus)
Hoeven's Wrasse (Halichoeres melanurus)
Neon Wrasse (Halichoeres garnoti)
Red-Lined Wrasse (Halichoeres biocellatus)
Richmond's Wrasse (Halichoeres richmondi)
Two Tone Wrasse (Halichoeres prosopeion)
Vrolik's Wrasse (Halichoeres chrysotaenia)
Yellow Wrasse (Halichoeres chrysus)
Pearly Wrasse (Halichoeres margaritaceus)
^ All of those bury themselves in the sand when they are stressed/scared or sleeping....Don't believe me? Buy one and watch, would you like me to continue? I can if you really want. Maybe I should so you could be educated instead of ignorant. Are you still paying attention I'm right here focus:wavehand:
Let's continue.....
This family ALSO sleeps in sand or runs there for cover as well as mucus cacoon in rocks if no sand is provided.....you know them as Fairy Wrasse, or Cirrhilabrus.
Red Head Solon Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus solorensis)
Multicolor Lubbock's Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus lubbocki)
Exquisite Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus exquisitus)
Bluehead Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus cyanopleura)
Red Velvet Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus rubrisquamis)
Longfin Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus rubriventralis)
Orange-Back Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus aurantidorsalis)
Whip Fin Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus filamentosus)
Fine Spotted Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus punctatus)
Hooded Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus bathyphilus)
Scott's Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus scottorum)
Yellow-Flanked Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus lyukyuensis)
Pink Margin Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus rubrimarginatus)
Yellow Fin Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus flavidorsalis)
Lineatus Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus lineatus)
Flame Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus jordani)
Flasher wrasses or, Paracheilinus are in the same catagory. The ones that DO NOT bury are REAL Coris, Wetmorella, Thalassoma, Gomphosus, Anampses, Pseudodax, Novaculichthys, Choerodon and Cheilinus.
Now all of those are readily avalible BUT are large in size (180 gal or bigger) and are mostly aggressive. Not only that but the subspecies of each one of those family are 2-5 different types. SO as I was saying the MAJORITY bury themselves. Anything else I can help you with:debi:
