Writing an article about rust....

Im currently writing an article about rust and its problems with it inside water. Does anyone know of problems that might occur if an item, rusted was dropped into the saltwater aquarium?

Or if your drinking water was rusted?

it would taste bad in your water, but if we're just talking about Fe2O3 i don't think theres much to worry about. theres no real problems from rust getting into an aquarium, (i've heard and experienced n small amounts) might cause an algea bloom.

Fe is the main containant, which isn't much of an issue. The problem however, is that most metals have many impurities, these can also be relased. coper, zinc, tin, mercury etc... this can be bad...
