Aquapod, JBJ, anything really. Preferably with metal halides.
I might also do a trade for my 24 AP with viper light. I'm just looking to downgrade a little.
Get back to me!

I currently have both a JBJ 12 DX and an Aquapod 12 with the 70W MH fixture. I prefer the Aquapod for the brighter lighting and stronger pump out of the box, but that might not be an issue for you since you already have the viper light. You would be getting a decent tank either way but it does feel like more effort was put into the Aquapod design and components. The thing I've noticed in shopping for them online is that the JBJ seems to be pretty readily available while the Aquapod appears to be discontinued.

Some things I've noticed are that both are designed to skim the surface of the tank water, but both filters need at be altered to work properly. The Aquapod has 2 sets of intake grates down the front of the intake chamber and does not include covers to close them. This leads to the filter chambers flooding and a lot of scum to build up in the filter portion. I am still trying to figure out how to close these lower gates off without draining the tank, I'm hoping the water levels in the filter even out once it is plugged. The JBJ needed an add-on surface skimmer before it would even pretend to skim anything. Here is what I use:

In addition to the surface skimmer, I added a larger pump as well (MJ600). Also, the hood on the JBJ is really terrible. They are very cheaply made, the thin joints on the hood and the screw holes on the light shield crack very easily and it becomes a rusty mess after a couple years over saltwater. But again, this could be a non-issue if you take off the hood and put your Viper over the tank.

Anyway, I don't mean to ramble on, I hope this helps if you're still looking for a tank. If you have any specific questions about either, let me know.

Thanks,
Joe
