WTB - 180+ Tank

My Puffer and Lion are outgrowing their 55 and its time to upgrade. I knew this day was coming soon. Does anyone know of a good deal in the State? I am looking for 180 gallons or larger. I guess I might consider 150, but I want this tank to last their lifetime.
 
I don't know Ryan. I don't think I can make that DIY jump. ;0) Sorry I won't be attending tonight.
 
Have you had any luck finding a tank? I'm still looking myself and wish that some of the tanks that I see for sale in the selling forum were a couple of states closer!
 
there is a tank on craigslist in omaha, 180 gal. complete setup chiller and all, only thing I would change is the coralife skimmer. of course he also wanted 3k for it lol
 
rotflol!! 3K that must be a heck of a tank,I assume fully stocked with colonies of SPS. A new 210 at the LFS is only $1600. Thanks Sam for letting me know.

By the way, are you still using your DIY De-nitrator? I abandoned mine for a commercial unit.
 
well the pic. of the tank was actually very nice, mostly softies and LPS but still nice. but for 3k he can keep it. lol

as for the de-nitrator, I am still using it though. however the flow has slowed way way down. even with it turned all the up, I can only get a slow drip comming from it. so not sure how effective it is anymore. however my nitrates have been staying at 5ppm and lower.

maybe one of these days I will take it offline and just see if my nitrates start to raise.

how are the commercial units? I really was ready to buy one at first but thought about tring the DIY one first.
 
The Midwest Aquatics Sulfur unit I bought is AWESOME!! It cycled in THREE days and has been running with undetectable Nitrates ever since and that was in November I think. That is with no maintenance either. Obviously I am sold on it. Although I have seen a design now for DIY sulfur De-Nitrator on RC.
 
Thanks Matt, I think have a 240 bought hopefully on Saturday. I'm crossing my fingers. I am not sure how far this one is if my 240 falls through.
 
Tank is home! 240 gallons, My puffer and Lion will happy wwhen it finally gets setup. Thanks for everyones help.
