WTB 55 gallon tank

going to start up a new tank, but already have most of the equipment I am going to need, so was looking for something in the 55 gallon range, tank and stand only.

well if u want a sump tank i have a 55g that im takin down tomarro its got deep sctatches so u cant use it for a display

Petco has tank onsale $1 a gallon up to 55G.. Check them out.

$55 for a new 55g tank is a great price! I bought a 20L for $20 and it's retail at Petco (non sale) was $40! So I can imagine a 55 is probably over $80 of so! (totally guessing, btw).

But of course 55's are always being sold/given away on craigslist!
(55's make great freshwater tanks, but many consider the footprint too narrow for a good reef tank)

my first reef was a 55, and I can testify to the fact that it is indeed too narrow, but my reef is now a 180, and I am going to use this new 55 to set up an amazonian freshwater tank

55g that are 48x16x18 are decent size for reef. As long as it isn't 48x13x20
