WTB: 90+ gal aquarium

I'm looking for a 90-125 gal tank. I would prefer something 4ft wide but that's up for debate. Needs to be drilled for overflows and be glass. I'm ready to take the plunge....

lol. At $4 dollars a gallon in my full-size pickup I could buy new with the gas money. Thanks anyway

Shop around, 90's arn't that expensive and there are no scratches in a new tank. Just my opinion. I have bought used tanks before and they tell you there are no scratches, but there always is.

Also drill it yourself if you want, we all have diamond bits you can borrow or buy from one of us who live close to you.

Welcome to the hobby!!

Thanks for the advice. I know I can get one that's not drilled pretty cheap. I don't want acrylic(for the scratching reason) and from what I understand the bottoms of tanks of that size are tempered glass. So can I drill the sides for an overflow? I honestly didn't even look into that. Looks like more research for me.

Yes, you can drill the backs for an overflow. A lot of times, stores will have big sales on tanks like the 90's, where you can get a new one for $200 or less. Of course, if you want my advice on a 4' tank, go with the Marineland Deep Dimension 150 with Starphire front/sides. It's a lot of $, but well worth it IMHO.

Yeah that would be ideal. Unfortunately my budget isn't ideal, especially considering the jump in price for equipment. I'd really like to find a 120 however those sizes don't seem to go on sale although if I'm drilling myself....

Thanks Lori. I already e-mailed you before regarding your set-up. I would be interested in the tank, sump, and pump. The stand is beautiful but it doesn't match the room its going in and that is a strict requirement(not mine) so for 500 it just doesn't work for me. Sorry.

90 tank and stand went for $140 at Elmer's used equipment sale this morning and it was damn nice, I actually thought it was you when the guy bought it. He never hesitated! ..........

I got a 30 to build a sump for $20

They had a real nice 65 with overflow and stand in the store for $270.

Same reason we are selling it, doesn't match new house we are buying.

Big Dog- it should've been me. Saturday would be the one day I can't get off work. May have to get sick one of these days or have a family wedding.
