WTB: black occelaris clownfish

i have been looking for these too they seem to be in low supply right now. i just cant justify paying 89.99 at LFS's for an occ clown it would be about the same to ship in just one so i continue to wait :). i need to small one to pair with my female clown :(

Yes, I know there are some shops that currently have them. However, I don't like buying from shops. Not the price... but the condition and the disease risks. I am just hoping to find a hobbyist that want to sell theirs.

ok, sure. BTW, I picked one up recently from Jeff's. Healthy as can be. Captive raised. I wouldn't just throw out a recommendation if I didn't have some sort of confidence in the product. no affiliation whatsoever...

I have 3 healthy black clowns. I was hoping I could end up with a pair, but I think all 3 are females. 2 are siblings any way. I would be willing to trade one for a small healthy one.

i got mine from a fellow reefer, dont know if its male or female.. i would love to "pair" him up.. laveda let me know if you are willing to sell one of the smaller siblings...

I saw a couple at Tong's recently. If you are concerned about disease, why not QT it? A clown is easy to QT. If you don't have a QT, find a cheap ($10) 10 gallon tank and throw some 2-3" PVC pipe fittings in the bottom and add a cheap power filter. Run carbon and use some sponges from your sump (I keep the black sponges in my sump) as a bacterial base. Add 50% water from your running tank, and 50% new Salt water.

Easy enough yah? Oh you need a cheap heater as well.

For me this is a non-issue since I quarantine my fish and treat them if they have something.
