Thats colonial tunicates, not a coral..

And it doesn't do too well in tanks (needs lots of microfoods).

Also, limpets LOVE to eat it, so be warned....

I don't have limpets in my tank. where did you find the info on it? I couldn't find much info on it. I have only saw it for sale on 3 sights, one was aquacon.com and the other was saltwaterfish.com I can't remember the other one. But I do remember one saying moderate care and low lighting requirements. As far as food they recommended supplemental feeding of marine snow, zooplex, and I believe cyclopees ( forgive the spelling )

reefscience.com has had them in the past. They are a tunicate and as said above very delicate.

very delicate.. meaning hard to keep? or fragile doesn't ship well?

Do you know anyone that keeps them? they look really nice and I would like to find out more info on them.

if you do a search on google using the term "blue palm coral' you will get several links. Be cautious of some vendors who describe this as a beginner coral and easy to keep. At best, these may live for only a few months.

Id rather get some input from people who keep them or have kept them before going by what's listed on a sellers sight. So anyone ever keep one or know anyone who does or did?

Tom, as Nagel said, they are tunicates not a coral. A friend of mine that has been keeping salt for 5 years or so got some from Live Aquaria last year. They lasted about 2 months before dying off.

IMHO I wouldn't try it. Not a good survival rate from what I've heard. I haven't tried them first hand and don't plan on it until I get more experience under my belt.

also, be careful of aquaCon.. I wouldn't purchase a thing from them, as they have had many shady dealings in the past..

using other people pics for WYSIWYG, etc..

After hearning from Nagel I am putting off buying one, I know Matt warned me about Aquacon. I did see some on saltwaterfish.com but they didn't have any info on them. That's why I held off buying till I learned more. Oh well, it looks like a really nice piece, what a shame it won't last in the home aquarium. Are they just as hard to keep as the carnation tree's? I read they are really hard to keep.
