I was wanting to buy around 5lbs of fine reef sand.

A friend will be taking about 100lbs of fine reef sand from Marco Rocks out of his tank soon, If you can wait I'm sure he will have what you are looking for Live.
With MP40's that sand blows all over the tank even just running 50% power.

. I just order some of that sand 120lb worth should be here Wednesday and Chris at the critter told me that he going to start stocking it.this comeing Wednesday. They only sale them in 10 & 20lb bags. Don't remember the pricing but it's high. I think it's the most fine sand on the market.

Thanks Bill and zef. I am in no hurry. The only times I have ever seen the sand it was in like 25lb bags if I remember correctly.

Hey, yeah I do have some as Lindsey mentioned. Mine are all in big bags though. I'm thinking they are about 30 lbs each. I have 5 bags of it left I think just sitting in the garage. I'm a pretty good haul from Nashville but let me know if you're interested.

I ended up taking most of mine out. I have quite a bit of flow and some sandsifters that kept it stirred up too much for my liking. I still have some down on the bottom underneath the coarser stuff and its not a problem anymore. I also used it in my fuge and it works great down there. For my preference, if you have a lot of flow and a lot of SPS its a bit too fine but that's just my personal experience. It would probably have settled down a lot as the tank matured but I didn't want to take the chance.

Thanks Josh. I didn't think about the sand being blown around. Right now I have some substrate that is fairly large and it gets blown around easly by the flow already so I can only imagine how the sand would be. Thanks for everyones feedback!

i have a ton of it... if youre close... just come get some... its premium substrate from marco rock... if you want some live... i can pull it out of the tank for ya.... or i have some dry too... if that helps

Petco has a 10lb bag of it for about 10 bucks. It's Natures Ocean, and it's real fine and real white!
