Hi,
Anyone see this at a LFS or have one they don't want?

I have a Galaxea I was trying to relocate to someone elses tank. It's healthy and about 4-5" in diameter.

is this for your 25? I would be concerned about their large sweeper tentacles in such a small tank. I wanted to get one and my LFS talked me out of it.

That could be an issue. The galaxea I have has 3-5" sweepers.

I haven't updated it's for my new 37. PPurcell, how much do you want for it? ARe you available Saturday? Any finally can you upload or send me a picture?

I have had a galaxea thriving since IMAC. I got it as a 2" frag and it has trippled in size. I have had no issues with it stinging anyone, even though it puts out the sweepers and there i splanety near by. I think the trick is that there is pleanty of flow over it that the corals ability to make meaningful contact is lost in the current. Of course I could be worng and just totally lucky and waiting for the other shoe to drop

Thanks for the input everyone. What do you mean if I could get it off the rock? From what I have seen they have a skeleton and shouldn't be attached to a rock

what I have is attached to the rock by a tube similar to an anemone, was told by somone it is a galaxy

Hmm. That doesn't sound like a Galaxea to me. Here is a picture of mine (sorry about the agea on the glass):

nope differant than mine for sure the top looks like that but it is on a tube attached to a rock
