Ah. Maybe the pump in slightly underpowered?

Maybe. I'm using a jebao dc1200 at max power in an IM 30l. It's about 530gph

It looks like that pump is rated for 320gph at max, so add two returns and some right angles and that would reduce the flow quite a bit.

are you aware these have mediocre reviews? slime & crud get between the moving parts on those and they need to be cleaned frequently so they work and are not noisy. i would recommend more flow and a vivid adapter. they do work quite well if you have enough flow going through them. was your jebao turned all the way up when testing?
