I just got a 90g tank and its cycled. (bought it with LS,water, and a few fish still in it). I'm looking to start up a reef tank. I'm going to add some LR this weekend and remove the sea stars that are in it now to make it safe for corals.I am running a nova extreme light system. It's 2 x 54w 10000k with 2 actinic bulbs. the tank is 24" deep. I'm listing these specs so maybe someone selling frags could suggest what wouldbe best.I'm also new to trying to make a reef system so I would really like to start with some hardy type corals/mushrooms,etc. Especially those that don't require strong lighting as I won't have MH anytime soon. (someday).
Also I would love some LR if anyone has some at a decent price. LFS is pretty high around 5 per lb.I'm interested in some used equipment if anyone has old stuff they don't want. Such as a skimmer or calcium reactor. thanks for reading and any suggestions on corals, etc for a new tank of my specs would be appreciated

also I'm in tampa,fl near USF area but I'd be happy to drive to pinellas or pasco, etc for a good deal or donations (wink) for my new tank.

I'm near Crystal River, maybe a little far for you??, but I can donate some Chaeto for your set up. There is plenty of life in the chaeto (pods, micro stars, mysis shrimp, etc)

PM if interested to arrange a time to meet.

It's a good drive for sure.I will probably see if I can get some closer but I would still drive there if nothing panned out here. Thanks for offering it.That's cool about your cheato.I'd want to get a microscope and check out all the stuff in it hehe.I may pm you this weekend (im off all weekend) about meeting up for some.I wouldn't expect you to drive any but if you offered to drive some of the way I'd pay for your gas :p
