Actually, I'd look for the 105 non-VR version. You don't really need VR for macro work since you're generally on a tripod and it knocks a bunch of money off of the price.

I thought about selling my Nikkor as I use it once a moon.
I think there was another website... I forgot... adorama or something. There are people there that sell macro lenses. you can buy one new for $800 or so.
