If anyone has 1 or 2 peppermint shrimp they would be willing to sell me I would really appreciate it. As I am starting to get some aiptasia. Just PM me with a price.

Pico - I have a brand new botle of Joe's Juice. BTW - I went through 6 different peppermint shrimps before I found a pair that would eat them. They ended up eat all of the aptasia including the large one. I got my peppermint shrimp from Twins in Stockton. He had quite a few of them. They were decent size too. The price was something like $6 or $7 each. Just remember, if you use Joe's Juice, there is a stong possibility that they will come back. So if you still want the Joe's Juice, I will sell it for the same price that I paid Marine Depot for it.

I'll give you $15 for one of the aptasia eating pepermints if not I'll take the joe's juice, $8 right?

There's no way I can catch the two peppermint shrimp in my 120G. I would still recommend that you try to get some peppermint shrimps from Twin's in Stockton. I had no luck with the peppermint shrimps from O Street or Capitol Aquarium. SOmeone else I know had luck with Peppermint shrimp from Twin's. Of course - your milage may vary.

$8 for the Joe's Juice. I will probably be going to John's store on Friday - so if you want to meet up there, it's a possibility.

John had peppermint shrimp for $4 each last time I checked.

Might wait till friday and see if he's got a couple at the new store.

The peps that John had a couple of months ago did a job on my aiptasia. I put them in my tank and they disappeared but so did the aiptesia (my tank has a lot of places to hide).

I tried two of John's peppermint shrimp, and they just disappeared. They were pretty small, so I don't know if they were eaten by my closed loop system.

The two peppermint shrimps I got from Twin's were pretty decent size (3x bigger than the one I got from John). I see them hang out in their rock work. At night night, I sometimes see them roaming around for food. :D

As always - YMMV.

I'm going nuts with aiptasia starting to spread in my tank. I've tried injecting with ca slurry but that didn't seem to do any good. My concern is I also have a beautiful Rose BTA in the tank too... will peppermint shrimp bother it, or a copperband butterfly either, for that matter? If peppermints are okay, are there any suitable somewhere local? I know Minh had good luck going down to Twin's in Stockton once upon a time, but a drive that far just isn't in the cards. Help?

wow, you dug up an old thread! I just make the anemonies retract and cover them with gel super glue.

I bought two peppermint shrimps and one just disappeared and the other doesn't even eat the aiptasia. I got this stuff called "Stop Aiptasia" that you squirt on them. I had to do a few applications but it did a good job of getting rid of them and it didn't seem to affect any of my livestock.
