does anyone have a Peppermint Shrimp that eats aptasia? i know they are hit or miss so i would like to buy one that is known to eat them.

thanks

rob

yeah... most LFS in my area sell them. but these shrimp seem to be hit or miss when it comes to eating aptasia. so i am hoping that someone has multiple pepermint shrimp that DO eat them and would be willing to part with one.

i have one in my tank now and he hasn't touched them yet.:mad2:

I got one from Rod, and it ate all of the visible aiptasia in my tank. Was going to get more from him. It was like $8. I saw some at Coral Reef for $5 each, but they are probably not going to touch it.

The ones Rod has seem to gobble it up. I couldn't believe it. Went through them all in less than 36hrs. Including 6 gigantic ones.

If you go out there for some, grab a few for me and I'll chip in for gas money... I'm tempted to go but worried I'll spend too much. Again.

I picked some up at this crappy LFS in LITH. Not oceans floor but near there, called birds and beasts. They consumed my apatasia in 2 or 3 days. They went for like $9 a piece. If you happen to be out by Daves at oceans floor this place is a 1/4 north of there on Virginia St. Hang a left on virginia and its 100 yards on the left in a strip mall.

I've always had success with peppermints from LivingSea and I think they're on sale now for 3.99 or 3/$10.

The ones I bought from there, when I had my old setup, ignored aiptasia entirely. I had 3 from there in a 75 gal tank. However, they were hearty -- lived almost 2 yrs until I had my upgrade disasters and lost a lot of livestock, including those guys.

i left a messege for Rod. i am looking for a few things and if he has them i will gladly pick some up for you. no need to chip in for gas, although it was nice of you to offer.

:)
