Anyone happen to have a phosban reactor for sale? I know they are cheap enough new but I thought I would try to find a used one first.

sorry dwayne i hate to intterupt but i have one stupid question to ask. Do you actually have to use the phosban media or is it ok to use a phosphate sponge type product from Kent.

I don't think you would want to stick a sponge in the reactor if thats what you're asking. I have seen some people just toss them in their sump or run them in a canister filter. In the long run the reactor will be much cheaper.

You should have said something last week. I probably have one lying around someplace along with some phosban. Let me look.

LOL I should have known that you would have one. Let me know and I can make a trip over that way.

its not really a sponge if thats what u mean. Its a small media about the size of phosban white in color. Comes in a 650 gram tub for like $20. If it wont work then ill have to get an order in or go up to toledo to get some.

D,
Sorry for the delay, I had to go play painter this afternoon.
I found one of my TLF phosphate reactor that is in good shape and I found some Phosban. How about $30?
All you will need is a small pump, Maxi-jet 400 or so and a control valve. I have some tubing if you don't have any.

I think the Kent brand is actually the aluminum version of a phosphate sponge. You may not want to use that if you have corals. I have read that most corals don't do well with it.

Do you still need the TLF phosphate reactor I have waiting for you? If not, that is OK, just checking before I sell it to someone else.

Chuck I found that the 2 doctors have them new for $31 so I went that route. Sorry for not getting back to you.
