If you don't get a split from someone, Carlos @ Aquarius often gets in smaller morphs of quadricolor that truly show a wide range of color. He doesn't call them anything silly and doesn't charge insane prices for them, either.

If it was the one with the black base and the orange tentacles I believe he was asking $90 for it. I almost picked it up when I was there last week.

Usually referring to the flesh color of the foot and area around the mouth. Basically anything except the tentacles.

I'll have to go check it out because I'm having a hard time picturing what could be black on a bta. There are 5 main external parts to a bta - mouth, tentacles, oral disc, column and pedal disc. I'm wondering if azkass was referring to the column. If so, I've never seen black, but I have had some that were very dark purple. If he has a $90 price tag on it, then I'm assuming its pretty unusual looking.

Is there not much of a variety in the valley? I used to own some awesome colored btas in socal, but can't seem to find any around here. It might be a regional thing.
