WTB Reeflo Dart (older model)

Have you considered rebuilding it? Replacing the seals and the bearings are relatively easy with just a few tools that can be picked up at harbor freight or borrowed.

I just refurbished mine with new seals and bearings and it's running tiptop again. I wish I would of made a video because it was simple.

the one I have started making a lot of noise and then froze up, so my guess is the motor is fried?

I'm pretty sure the bearings are only seized up. I believe a bearing puller, a c-clip remover and a few nuts and bolts removed were all that was required.

When that seal leaks, salt gets to the bearing at the front of the motor and causes it to rust, salt creep gets inside if it and rust the bearings.

This is exactly what happened to mine. It might if cost 40$~ to repair to new condition.

Be careful removing the fan cover and take care removing the fan. It should be a small hex head screw. If you bend the fan it is tough to realign but can be done without damage.

thanks, I'll take it apart, but would like to find another one to get it up and running in the meantime, then keep this as a spare if it's repairable

You may can send it to reeflo for a nominal fee to have it rebuilt. I don't believe the fee is very much. It's worth a call.

Good luck. If you find another pump and end up getting rid of this one. I might be interested. But I do recommend having them check it out or at least you look at it and do the repair. There might be tutorials online. Like I said. It's not a difficult repair.

Elliott,

if your still looking let me know.

I have several, and lots of spare parts to rebuild from when I was running a closed loop.

send me a PM and we will get you setup.
