WTB: small amount of live rock or live sand, or a few chips of coralline

Hey guys, I sold my 90 gallon about a month ago and just set up a pretty cool little rimless 20 gallon cube. I kept a few small pieces of live rock from my old sump, but they have no coralline on them and they are pretty small. I'd like to seed some coralline so if anyone would be willing to scrape off a few little chips from their glass or break off a small chip from a rock, that would be awesome.

I would also like to buy a couple of larger rocks. Does anyone have a couple nice rocks they'd like to sell? Something nice size for a 20 gallon cube. Also, maybe a half cup of some bright-white live sand to seed mine?

Soon as I get my new light fixture I will be looking to buy some frags, too. I am starting fresh (coral-wise) with this tank, so I'm thinking of doing mostly ricordia, zoas, and acans.

Thanks!
Zach

I'm probably too far for you, but I have some live rock I'm looking sell and you are welcome to the sand, too. The rock is very well critter-ized. One rock is quite big (but fits in a 20g since it's in a 20g now); the others are small to medium-ish.

hello zach and sure hope the 90 gal tank served you well - curious, is your 20 cube an elos mini and if so - do you have a particular fixture in mind.

i think i'm closing in on one and wondering as to what lighiting options are out there besides the e-lite.

hope this doesnt side track your original post and you find some nice rock...

Yeah that would be a bit of a drive. I would be interested in the rock if I were going to be in the neighborhood. I have to be in Huntsville on the 18th for work so there is teh possibility I could get it then if I haven't found any rock by then.

Yes it is an elos mini. I am going to go with the AI Sol Nano light. I am just waiting on it to be released. It's not quite as streamlined as the e-lite, but it is more controllable and I think more powerful. Also, it's almost half the price.

I'm off the 18th, so if you decide you want some of my rock, I should be available. Give me a heads up a couple of days before, please at fishyenta(at)gmail(dot)com, and we can work something out.

I have some rock in chelsea, just south of bham. I've got more than I can use so let me know if you need a deal on some.

Hey Nicole, got a call last Friday and they moved the job to April 15th. Oh well...I'm guessing I'll definitely have some rock by then, but in the off chance I don't, I'll let ya know.

I will actually be passing near there this weekend. It would be best if I could get it on Sunday night, though. Are you free then?

I should be free. I will shoot you a PM with my contact info. I have coraline all over my glass so I will wait for you before I clean it up. Just happy I can help out.

Hey, Zach. I'm still here on campus and you're welcome to some rocks/sand from my tank whenever you'd like it. I've only got the 30 now, but there's more rock in it than i need. I've also got 4-5 green BTA's - you're welcome to once you get your lighting.

Gimmie a shout when you're ready!
