does anyone have a sponge for sale or can give me more info on keeping them

Hey Matt,

You don't generally see them for sale except sometimes at frag swaps.

I have a lot of sponge growing under my rocks and some yellow growing on the tops of rocks. The stuff I have is not easy to frag off, it has just grown over the years.

I know I saw some sponge for sale as frags at the last swap in columbus. I think someone from the club bought some, not sure how it did or if they can frag it.

ok i seen them online for sale but been scared to buy em for the simple fact i herd tehre hard to keep and if ima keep em i wanna buy the from someone i can talk to and see there sucess with them another thing i wanted to buy is a star fish but herd they can be finky with water conditons so idk bout them

I think many sponges require supplemental feeding to keep alive so that can be difficult.

You could get a serpent star, they are easy to keep and eat detritus. Some of the other starfish are difficult to keep alive (linkia type) and some eat coral (chocolate star).

ok my girl freind wanted a llinkia star the purple ones i was all for it now that i read things agin they are realy hard but surpent stars seem to be the easyest like you said and eat anything that is left over from feedings thats a pluse

ya im makeing a run for some coral tonight nothing special just some softies kayna tree coral some gorgina and some devils hand and i think im forgeting something else lol but ya the tang is great no ich to be found on him he heatlhy and good
