wtb Sun coral

Looking to buy or trade for 1-2 polyp of sun coral for my nano tank. If you have em, let me know

You should get dendros instead. Mine are out most of the day and they are alot easier to keep. I hear sun corals can be difficult to keep.

Jojo's had some for a while. But after they rearranged their displays, I don't remember seeing them anymore. Give it a try they've had them for a while now.

Thx for the tip on dendro and yes they are out during the daytime. I already have branching dendro and wanted to add sun coral as I created a cave to put them in.

On the black dendro, i've seen then and that is a good price at YR, but I don't think the black coloration stands out sitting in a shaded cave against the purple rock.

Black sun corals are as common as yellow, orange, or pink ... and the polyp when extended is a deep green color.

i dont think dendros come in a black color. I believe that the one you saw in YR is a black sun coral.

I got a frag, it is very cool looking. The mouth is sort of a neon green. Thanks for the heads up, Ed!

Tubastrea is not all that difficult IMO. Drip some cyclops or BBS in the tank daily and you're good. It's imprtant that they have strong water flow around them. In a few months you should start to get baby polyps sprouting up around the tank if they're fed well.
