I also built mine for my 40 breeder. It might not be the prettiest you will ever see but it works for me cheaper than buying one also.

I build mine as well. Depending on how nice you want it, it could be as simple as just a 2x4 frame. I skinned mine with cabinet grade plywood, stained it and put urethane on it to make it water proof.
