here is a few pics of my oregan tort.. slow grower is right. it got knocked over a while back and took a long time to recover.
the blue is truely awesome.
and a nice lil close up
and a shot of my lil becker colony. i split it in two a while back and of course they took a hit but are still ticking. the color is a lil off due to a recent aquascaping but the coloring is nice but differs from the cali tort

now from memory the oregon gets real dark blue and grows real slow i mean real slow --upscales has a nice colony of it
the becker has hints of blue purple and green and grows even slower --they are real nice torts to have
oh and richard and mark i have my ticket purchased already for the cfm

I've never heard of the Seattle tort; wonder what that one looks like. I've seen one really unique tort in the Seattle area and it belongs to Dang/TamarindThai. It has the wildest, all-over-the-place coralite growth structure! And kind of purply color.
I have a frag of "Oregon" tort that came through O.R.A. and it looks nothing like the Oregon tort posted in this thread. Blue color is the only similarity. Very interesting!

Here is my Oregon tort
And what I was told to be the Becker tort although I don't see much of any green in it. It's almost a solid blue but not as deep blue as the Oregon. Maybe one of the old school guys can come over to take a looksee. I am on the way to CFM :lol:

Scott, I looked at the Becker colony closely last night and did notice the green at the coralite tips. So I think I am good. Thanks for the offer though :lol:
