i prefer used... not loking at spending an arm for the lights at this point in time... Tuning my car this Sunday. thats gonna cost.

But um...Yea... WTB: Metal Halide set up... I have checked a bunch of threads and nothing yet so i figgure someone might be holding there old set hostage in a near-by closet :eek1:

i took a look at your DIY MH stuff... i would love to tackel the project but im so nOob to this entire reef stuff im sure i would just blow myself up... what about your HQI set up... is that plug-in and ready to go or is there some work that needs to be done?

Oops sorry about the PM. Yes, the 400W HQI is by PFO ballast with cords only. And it is Plug & Play.

Simon might you have any pictures of the items in question... i currently have a canopy over my set up and im trying to imagine how i would set up your HQI's if i did go with your 2...

i have a retro dual pfo 400w SE set-up with 9 bulbs for sale for $300. 3-10k, 3-14k, and 3-20k bulbs. also included are 3 sprider relectors w/ sockets

10k about 2-3 weeks useage
14k about 3-4 months useage
20k about 2-3 months useage

still plenty of life on all the bulbs

Have a one piece, 12 1/2" x 47" reflector unit with dual (2) 96w PC lights/lamps and dual 175w MH lights/lamps with 14k bulbs. Unit operates off of single ballast with two power cords for each set of two lights.

just for the record.... sorry i haven't mentioned this above...

i have a STANDARD 100 gall. and will need a fixture / fixtures to light both ends of the tank...

and to add i dont have much over $200 to spend on lighting...

lolz... i posted that i was still searching after i over looked the reply from JN Reef... sorry all... didnt mean to scare you guys
