WTB: Zoas/Palys, Cloves, and Mushrooms (Akron/Canton)

NorthEast Ohioans,

I'll be up in Akron for a wedding this weekend and my wife and I would love to get some zoas or mushrooms for our tank. The LFSs down here in East TN are lame and the club (ETRC) isn't nearly as strong as yours appears to be. I grew up in Highland Square right by Two Turtles and am a UAkron alum, so I thought I'd try and connect with some reefers back home. Pretty much any cheap or reasonably priced (grad student budget) colorful zoas, mushrooms, clove polyps, etc. would be great. So far, we have Green Dragon Eyes, Orange Delights, Armor of Gods, GSP, Encrusting Green Gorgonian, Xenia, blue mushrooms, and a big rhodactis. We're still noobs to reefing, so pics and descriptions of what you have are helpful. Please reply and/or contact me via PM if you can help a fellow Akronite. I have lots of freshwater plants (many rares) and shrimp on the off chance that anyone else "goes both ways" and wants to trade for corals.

Also, can anyone give the skinny on worthwhile LFSs for livestock in the area? Just Two Turtles and that place on East Exchange by that headshop?

cheers and thanks,
Joel MacClellan

if you have the time you can always take the hour drive to Salty critter in vermillion and might as well stop/detour past aquatic technologies.

there's wetpets in canton.... not sure what they have anymore ... new owners.

there's a little place on Killian rd. between arlington and main st. Coral Reefs.... open like 4-8 pm....

you're best bet would be to skip the wedding and just goto the Cora swap.....

Sorry mate - It's my sister's wedding and I'm in it!

see if you can find someone down there going to the swap and is willing to pick some up from you , then go to fragswapper and shop !! you would have to hook up with them after sis ties the knot ,,,before you head home

Do I hear a volunteer? :)

I've never even been to a frag swap and don't know how all that works. Is stuff generally pretty reasonably priced or is it stupid-expensive like on frags.org? I do have a good idea of what kinds of zoas and such I'd want and what I'd be willing to pay....

im not going,, it may to late to set something up ,,your better off going to the CORA forum to see if there's anyone down there that will work with you ,, most of the CORA folks will be there. and the prices are very good for these swaps ,,,, go to www.fragswapper.com and sign up for the CORA swap , and you will see tons of stuff that will be offered there , then you will have to find someone to buy and hold for you ,,,that will be the trick !!! if i were going i would do it for you ,,but ill be at work

Thanks for the posts and PMs guys. I found somebody who has just what I'm looking for - and he lives like two blocks from my folks' house!
