WTBorrow Berghia Nudi or aptaisia control critter

does anyone have a hungry berghia nudi? i have a ton of aptiasia on some very nice rock(thats why it was sold cheap to me) or anything that will eat these anemones, i have maybe 20-30 10 being the size of dimes and quarters, my tanks is small, so i dont want to jucie them

you might wanna give peppermint shrimps a try. i had 4-5 medium sized aptiasias in my tank and two peppermint shrimps got rid of them in just a few days. the shrimps worked really well for me, but i'm really starting to hate them now, because they're always picking at my corals trying to steal food from them. i think i'm going to try to catch them and throw them into my fuge. good luck

DOn't juice them unless you wanna grow more aptasia. Joes juice just ****es them off and makes them split off into smaller pieces. Perpermints will eat berghias so if you got perpermint , don't buy berghias.

If you wanna solve your problem your gonna need to just suck it up and buy some berghias and move the pepermints to the sump. Its very highly unlikely anyones gonna loan you berghias only because they are impossible to find in the tank! Heck I've been looking for my 4 since day 1. But atleast I know they are working because one of my big big big Aptasia is gone!

I've notice that joes juice doesn't do jack squat to control them,peppermint shrimp work. For the one aiptasia you juice,there are probably 20 more little tinny ones waiting to pop up

I tried kalk paste - worked great - except that two weeks later all the aiptasia were back - plus tons more.

berghia won't harm corals, unless they're aiptasia I believe =)

don't know if this would work for you or if you got all your lr in a perfect position.. but depending on how much coral you got in your tank, maybe taking all your lr out and putting in a rubbermaid with some new peppermints for a couple weeks without any food could solve the problem.. with a 32 gallon tank, there shouldn't be that much lr, unless i'm mistaken..

I just weighed my rocks again, and I actually only had 25 lbs in the mtank, and it was full full.

checkout the marcorocks group buy, ask in there to see if anyone has spare rock they ended up not using. Those rocks are really porous, maybe you can grab some left overs from them.

well i did get some porus rock, this is it, its super purple, and i got some hitchiking polyps and shrooms, its about 25-30 lbs + by 30 lbs of my now "base" rock(the dence stuff)
