WTH: sand or go bb?

WTH=want to have...

I hate to soicit free donations, but I am days away from a 125 and I am looking for some sand to fill it up. I used to have buckets of the crap that I ended up just throwing away. :rolleyes:

Anyway, if anyone has extra sand that they are looking to donate, shoot me a pm.

Any advantages to going bb?

One of the main advantages to going bare bottom is that if you later decide to add sand your rocks would already be on the bottom of the tank. That way you would not have to worry about shifting sand and your aquascaping falling over from a goby foraging under the sand. Just my .02 worth

I'd be glad to get you a 5 gal bucket of sand at the next SEASL meeting. It is used sand from my tank. You'll just have to rinse it....like you would new sand.

Done, but I'll probably be sending the sand with Rich, one of the Exec officers. (thanks Rich LOL!) My daughther has a basketball that weekend. If game times don't conflict with the meeting, I'll be there......but I doubt if I'll get that lucky.

5 prop tanks jim, what do you have in those?

fish, coral?

I'm in the Edwardsville area quite a bit and would love to see your setup. I am interested in the aquaculture efforts in the STL area.

Levon,
I leave the hard stuff (like fish breeding to the pros--Kathy Leahy for example). That requries daily care which I can't provide. I am stictly a coral guy. Let's get together at a SEASL meeting and compare notes.

Take care,

JRC
