WTT Todd's Torch

Hello all, hope everyone has been well. Even though I am not in upstate anymore I still subscribe to the page and lurk from time to time.

So when I left Buffalo a little over a year and a half ago I begged Randy O to frag me off a single head of the Todds from his display tank. Since he was good enough to oblige (thanks Randy!), it has quickly grown in that time. Here it is as a little nub:

Anyhow I was trying to obtain a rare euphyllia from another reefer who was interested in the todds, but it seems to have fallen through, so I figured I would check to see what trades could possibly be out there for a chunk of Todds. Looking for uncommon euphyllia of any kind, but aussie hammers are definitely preferred. I have been looking for the right orange/yellow hammer forever, so if someone has a piece/frag they are willing to trade let me know. If nothing is available, I will be more than happy to leave it as is because it certainly looks great now, but I will be visiting Buffalo from the 10-12th of february and will be driving through Syracuse and Rochester along the way, so we could do a trade in person if there is interest. Please PM possible trades.

Thanks! Just moved the tank and re-worked it a bit so I am still trying to add a few things but it is coming along.

Brian, normally cold hard cash is the best option but for this I am definitely looking for a trade. I know there is quite the collection of uncommon euphyllia hanging around in URS, and most people are not willing to sell, but would consider trades

That is a very nice tank! How did you get the TT to grow so much - feeding I assume? You have now made me decide to set up a tank strictly for a torch now! Good luck with your search for a new Euphyllia too.

Some feeding with mysis to get it going at first, but not so much lately. Just weekly water changes and staying on top of changing my bulbs regularly

It's pretty simple, supply and demand. This is one coral that has always retained a high resale value for years, and rightfully so.

I vote not to cut it up, it looks great. That lil' nano has really come a long way Steve!

Thanks! Maybe I will have to get the legit camera out and take some real pics. The iPhone ones unfortunately are not even close. When are we going to see a build thread from you?

Thanks! Props to Mr Thommann on the yuma. It's one of the ones he sliced off his original. It was the size of a nickel when I got it from him about 2 years ago
