Has anyone had any experience with this variety? They call it out as a zoa. I've had my 2-head frag in my tank for 5 days, and it hasn't opened yet. At the same time, I added a couple other zoa's from WWC, and they all seem to be doing well (open, looking healthy). I've read that Sunny D's are tempermental and can take a while to get used to a new tank, and given the name (Funny vs Sunny), I am wondering if this variety is just as picky. I have a note in to WWC asking for advice, but figured I would try here as well.
Water params are:
temp=79F
SG=1.025
Alk=8
Mg=1350
Ca=430
pH=8.1-8.3 (varies with light cycle)
Nitrate/ite=0
PO4=ranges between 0.05 and almost 0.1, about 0.08 for the last week
light = sitting about 16" down from 4-tube T5HO that is on about 8 hours
flow=light to moderate at the moment
There have been a couple times that I've caught sight of a snail bugging the frag, but it is sporadic (not like the snail is parked on it). I am being patient before I play with light or flow, but was wondering if anyone else has any experience that could help me?
