With regular pruning of the xenia ,you will be fine. When I prune my xenia, they let off a slime which my SPS love. They super extend their polyps whenever its pruning time.
Do your research before putting xenia in your tank. Xenias generally harm SPS through shadowing, most SPS and other corals will sting them sufficiently to deter attaching.

for sure....you need to understand the risk you are taking with corals you are adding at all times. Personally, I love the look of xenia....they add a tone with the pulsing they do, however I am constantly(all the time) pruning them. When its time to set another tank up, they will not be included.
I'd suggest against ever adding them personally but I also know I ignored the advice myself when I began reefing. :headwally:
