We have a pulsing Xenia and it has developed opaque bubbles on the stem. One of the Xenia has now laid down on the substrate, Anything I need to be concerned about?
If i had to guess I'd say they're about to split. The bubbles are probably a new foot forming and it's bending over to attach the new foot to the ground. Have you noticed the stalk being really thick or looks like it's starting to split at the top?
Actually yes, it is a little thicker near the top and the stalk has changed to a darker color. If I remember right it did this last time it split but that was a while ago, so let's hope that's what it is!
My husband saw that the other day...they looked like holes in the base. I told him that the xenia just want to attach to something. YOu usually don't see it so much if it is up against something to split/spread onto...you can always put a piece of rubble next to it and let it attach and split and then move the new stalk to something else/somewhere else.
