I have a xenia in my 12 gal nano. It has been thriving very well since I put it in 3 months ago. Two days ago I noticed a small receding hole on the one stalk. It is rapidly getting larger. It has turned white...and all of the polyps on that branch are falling off and shrinking up. It's effect seems to be spreading to the other stalks too. But some of it is still ok. What is causing this? And can it be stopped? i.e. Do I cut these parts off? All of my water parameters are good. Please help!

I don't know whats causing it but I would cut those parts off with scissors now or else it will keep spreading.

I have heard of some stories like this before. Could something be eating it?
