My xenia opens up most of the way day and night, ut the. Hands are not coming out, looks healthy, the hands just don't open

I used to have t5's on my tank and the xenia grew well but would not pulsate. I have just recently switched over to AI Sol Blue and the hands have started pulsating beautifully. I guess lots of light have got something to do with them pulsing.

tank parameters
ammonia= 0
nitrate= 0
nitrite= 0
ph= 8.2
cal= 420
Gh= my strip reads 180 and it is pegged( recent development. test may be inaccurrate
KH= 10.3 although last test was maxed out at 240(13.44) will hvae to retest.
one side of the tank ( LTA location) is running a 70 watt 20k metal halide, other side is a 4 x 24 watt T5 set up with 2 10k and 2 actinic. the xenia is sitting right at the cusp.
the xenia is growing like a weed, it is real healthy lookimng, it just doesn't open it's gloves
I have a piece of monipora caprcornis, green star polyps, anthelia, button polyps, muchrooms, kenya trees and a LTA in a 30 long, everthing is growing fast and in high color.
my caluperpa us growing again as well as a green layer under the t5,s so i that they are taking care of the nitrates( not good) i think the T5 lighting is also to balme for this

Thats one is difficult. In some tanks grow like weed. But they like dirty water.

Those damn weeds are at the highest point in the tank, in very high flow,and under halides.Hard to tell if they are pulsing, because they are getting hammered by the current,but they grow like weeds. Did I mention my water is very clean!:blown::hammer:

Yep since relocation they are leaning toward the metal halide. I have 2 70watt metal halide fixtures but I have to build a canopy to get all the lights to work on the tank
