xenia not looking good

I got some really nice looking purple xenia from a friend last week. After a day the xenia shrank and has stayed like that since. I have them in medim flow and cannot fixure out why they are looking like that. Tank perameters are ok(Kh is low). Sorry no pics. Thanks

Tank readings
PH: 8.2
Nitrate: 0
Nitrite: 0
Amoinia: 0
Ca: 550
Kh: 6
Mag: no test yet
Phosphates: no test yet

I maintain a tank with 30-40 red sea pumping xenia, they generally like a little nitrate and a little phosphate - and thrive in high phosphate (over 0.25). Mine grew like mad until I knocked the Phosphate down to zero (nitrate was already there, or 0.2), now they've shrunk to about 1/2 the size. Try adding some Oyster-feast.

Also your CA is really high. That might explain your low KH. You might be getting some precipitate or buildup on your equipment. I would lower your CA to about 450 before boosting the KH.

Describe the rest of the system so we have a full picture of what is going on here...

Thanks for the replies. I run right now the lighting is 3lamp t-5 4' (have to get new t-5 lamp on payday)and only two lamps are on now, I have a full spectrum day light and a antinic. Be sides dosing baking powder to rise Ak (which will lower ph even more) what else do you recommed to lower my Ca? oh yea it is a 75 gal.
