xenia problems

well my xenia was looking pretty bad then I switched to a tank with a built in overflow. a week later was looking good and super strong... now its starting to look bad again . I did a water change the other night so hopefully that will help...

why does it do this? all other things in the tank look really good and strong.

Xenia is hit or miss in some tanks. I have never been able to keep it either. It seems to like dirtier water so to speak from my experience.

my water is on the very clean side. I change my water 1x per week no matter what. My xenia thrives. I even have some in a high flow, high light area. The stuff does grow fast though.
