xenia touching toadstool?

I have a few zenia polyps that detacted from my rock and re-attacthed right next to where I put a toadstool. will this be a problem.

not in most cases, sometimes Xenia will try to overgrow and smother out corals, but not likely with a leather.

I guess I was more worried about the toadstool putting off something -chemical- to hurt the xenia.

they do that regardless. most people who keep toadstools in with stony corals run carbon to help.

right and skimmer should help as well right.

not really, even with heavy skimming toadstools cause allot of SPS to act funny without the carbon.

So where is the best place to put this carbon?

you can run it in a fluidized reactor, in a media bag in a high flow area of your sump or tank, in a canister filter or HOB filter, just whatever you have and is most practical for you, it's not critical that you do it a particular way, it's pretty effective regardless as long as it's getting the adequate flow across it.
