Grr The Big Healthy Xenia frag that I got Sunday at the swap decided to just disintegrate overnight Tuesday. It was doing fine Monday and Tuesday then I got home last night and it was all but gone. I have no clue what happened. Everything else I got is in the same tank and all are doing great.

xenia is known to do that.

Xenia does not transport well, that is not uncommon. That is why it was so tough to get a couple years back. Normally after several generations of tank growth, it is ok.

Leave the rock alone it very well may come back in the exact same spot in a couple weeks.

If not, it sure is not hard to find around here.

I had a nice sized colony, and a freaking turbo snail went over it like a lawn mower...not sure if the snail "ate" it, or what, but he was on the rock, and the xenia was gone...I really want some pulsing xenia...

I am sorry to hear about your xenia. I looked at the huge frag you took home. I wanted it, but also wanted to see what else was at the swap. I told them if they still had it later in the day I would take it! I went back later and it was gone! I got some nice pieces of xenia from Nancy that are doing great and are attaching to my rocks already. I had to pull them from the plants so my sailfin wouldn't pick them apart.

I do not believe you will be able to keep milliporas without halides. You should be able to keep caps, digis, pocilliporas sp?, and a few others.

I'm honestly scared to see your tanks...they probably have all the latest gizmos and gadgets, and such nice aquascaping, and sweet livestock, and excllent equipment, etc., etc., etc....
