It is awesome! I am using the ReefBrites for our Church stage lighting.
The stage is 30' wide and 15' Deep....incredible coverage.
All 48".......
2-All Blue
1-50/50
2-All White

At first I went with just the blue and 50/50...But it was just too blue. But still looked great. so on Thursday I am picking up 2 all white.

I cant wait. The people love it.

Pictures to follow.

Of course now I'm thinking XHO ReefBrites for my tank.

its amazing what they can do. I dont want to change the topic but i wonder what would happen if you put some led par cans on a reef tank. Then maybe use a dmx controller to get the right color?

Well, I actually thought of that when they were installed. We have a dmx controller and four par cans but I can never get a good white with the mix. They work well for concerts but I do not think they will work well for a tank. But I am sure someone will do this at some point. I can make a variety of colors with my system. I hope the radion will have similar capabilities.

If one would use the DJ lighting for fun color variations for their tank. I think it would work nicely. There are so many options. They are coming out with all kinds of LED Dj lighting.

One of the great things is you can add so many different LED variations and very little electric, very little heat and compared to aquatic pricing... DJ lights are cheaper.

It would certainly work but would be significantly less efficient than typical LED builds (though probably still more efficient than other forms of lighting) and it might be harder than you think to get the right color spectrum for good results with corals.

One thing that's often missed in these discussions is the way the human eye perceives white light and how that relates to light produced by different types of lighting. Many DJ-style LED lights are built from mixing a bunch of different monochromatic LEDs (i.e. red, blue, green, etc.) These LEDs produce an extremely narrow wavelength of light, but by mixing them, it's easy to get light that looks white to our eyes, but if you looked at a spectral plot, it would just be a bunch of really strong peaks and no real broad-spectrum coverage like you'd get with a typical white light source. It's probably not impossible to get this to work, but it might not be as easy as it seems.

Well I picked up the 2 XHO Whites for the stage and it looks great. I will try to get some Pics up tomorrow. I hope the people love it as much as I.

Randy O. thanks for all the time spent with Barry and I today. The lights looks awesome. You have a great team in your place. and it was great seeing Johnny as well. Please let me know on those new lights.

Nice seeing you too... I miss the good old days hangin' with my friends at the LFS! Be sure to post some pics, sounds awesome.
