I am currently using XM 10k's, which are too white for me. I see that XM has 15k bulbs out now. Does anyone have some pics of these on a tank? I am thinking of going that route instead of 10k's again.

what type of ballast do you have? if you run a magnetic ballast you will get better par from the 20 k xm.

I am using magnetic ballasts. I have 4 - 110 watt VHO's and 3 of them are actinic. The issue is that 2 - 400watt 10k's seem to over power the actinics making everything white. I love the color when the halides are off. I would like to have this all the time, but still get the excellent growth.

The first one is with the 10k's on.

The second one is the VHO's only.

I have one 400 watt XM mogel 15K bulb, used one month for sale if you are interested in trying it out on your tank.

I switched mine out for a 10K, because I have 5 400 watt halides, 4 are 20K with the 10K in the middle to brighten the 20K's out.

If you are runnig 250W MH go with a Hamiliton 14K The XM 15K have a very low par. You will be dissappointed in it trust me I was.
