XM 175 Watt bulbs

Does anyone have any XM 175 watt bulbs that are old and not being used. I have a ancient 175 MH fixture that I want to get bulbs for but I have no idea if it can fire XM bulbs. I just need them to try out the fixture so if anyone has any they could let me borrow or buy some extremely used ones I would greatly appreciate it.

No, they have about eight months' use.

XM SE bulbs are probe start bulbs so any ballast rated to run 175w bulbs should fire them up. It is the pulse start bulbs that can be a problem to get to fire up on probe start ballasts. Pulse start bulbs have the ignitor in the ballast and probe start have it in the bulb so pulse start bulbs on probe start ballasts are being fired without the use of an ignitor and it can take multiple attempts to get them to light up if the do at all.
