XM 20Ks

Is anyone using these on your LPS tanks? Show me some pics please . . . How do you like the color? Do they look better than the 15Ks?

I'm using 15K and wondering the same thing about the 20K.

I had 2 175w 20k XM's on my 46g - I loved them. No need for actinics, just enough blue to suit my tastes.

im using 250w xm20k's right now and love them. i use them on an m58 ballast and the blue isnt overwhelming like some discribe, its just about perfect for my taste.

From what Ive seen the ballast you use makes a big difference, at least visually. The magnetic ballasts that Ive seen with these bulbs make them slightly a more white blue light as if slightly being overdriven. While the same bulbs on an IceCap ballast the light appears much more of a richer blue.

Im using a 175w magnetic ballast w/ a different brand of 20k and it looks more like 14k than a 20k.Id love to see an electronic ballast fire this same bulb to see if its a universal thing goin on.

I use one on my display, excellent colors, not too blue at all, very nice growth on zoos too

On the pic I posted above, I ran those bulbs on Icecap electronic ballasts.
