XM bulbs

Ok, I currently have 14K Hamilton bulbs, but they are expensive. I was wondering if any one had used the Hamilton bulbs before and switched to the less expensive XM bulbs. I use the 14k bulbs without any atinics so I would need it to be on the blue side. Does any one have any recomendations on what XM bulbs are closest to the 14k Hamilton bulbs?

I have seen a lot of positive words about the XM bulbs so I figure they are the way to go.


Oh yeah. Does any one know where I can get a good price on the bulbs?

xm 15k but they absolutely suck when it comes to par. the aquaconnect 14k is the best 14k bulb made, but carries a really high price tag. $100 LAST I CHECKED. You could go with an evc 14k they are ok and that's what i am running now. good par for a 14k bulb imo. Think they go for $55.

XMÃ"šÃ‚´s 10k is a really YELLOW bulb, if youÃ"šÃ‚´re not going to supplement with actinics DO NOT use this bulb.
IÃ"šÃ‚´ve had ushios, XMÃ"šÃ‚´s, coralvue on 10k and they all suck. Then I tried 14k hamiltons and love the color, now I use them along with radiums on hqi pfo ballast, canÃ"šÃ‚´t tell the difference in color. The radiums are far more intense but they are 400w and the 14kÃ"šÃ‚´s are 250.
