Xrod 280 gallon living room peninsula

Wee done with the screen! How are those latches/hold downs attached to the rim of the tank?

Just with a screw. Maybe these photos clarify it.

If you're running bio pellets you are working at cross purposes running GFO at the same time. One or the other.

Yeah you know I read a lot on this and talked to some fellow reefers that do have both just to take down phosphates to desired levels and then eliminate gfo. Some even keep the Gfo on minimal levels but still use them. I am battling 0.06 phosphate levels using a ultra low Hanna phosphorus checker,. I have 2 months on biopellets but took one month to get to full dose. So with gfo and biopellets my po4 levels are finally going down very slowly, so I assume my rocks had a lot of po4 trapped in them. What I did definitely remove was UV. Any thoughts on this matter?

If you are using biopellets the PO4 should gradually come down anyways as the nitrating bacteria consume PO4 at the same time. Too low a PO4 level will inhibit their ability to handle your nitrates.

I have never been fully convinced of the usefulness of UV. Some people swear by it. I'd rather grow sponges if the bacterial load is that high. Just an opinion.

Tagging along as I am planning a tank of very similar dimensions, room layout, gear, etc.

Looks beautiful! Keep the photos coming.
