Got it. It's great! I can't believe the difference in pics from my 3.5 mp point and shoot --- OMH!

This is my first foray into photography. I'm reading and learning.
Any and all help is appreciated.

Here's another:

Thanks for the help.

My birthday is in January. I've already got it picked out!

I used a Canon EF 35-80 f4-5.6 on autofocus mode. I'm still learning how to use the camera so...

Um - I like the original better.

The last time I checked, tangs didn't come that color. :D

I really didnt mess with the color very much ... only shadows and highlights. It was basically a USM for the first and thirt and USM/Noise reduction for the second

That's all Greek to me.
Where are some good places to purchase PhotoShop CS2 or what would be the best software for a beginner/quick learner?

The focus does look a bit soft to me. I'm sure you will get the hang of it. Are these just resized or cropped? Do you shoot in RAW?

These are cropped and "auto fix" in the software.
The camera comes with EOS Utility, ZoomBrowser EX, and Digital Photo Professional (RAW editing), also a panorama stitching function. I just used the auto fix and the crop functions for those pics.
I've also got a 28 mm and a 75-300mm f4-5.6 and a couple of filters. My GREAT daughter-in-law was into EOS A2 film and had the lenses. Oh happy day!

Where do you get PhotoShop or C2 or whatever. What should I buy?

Thanks. I bought something called 123di. It's an eBook and I'm really enjoying it. It has lots of interactive illustrations and "thingies" to help you learn.
It's divided into three sections -- Simple, Essential and Expert. I'm kind of skipping the Expert section and going with the first two. It's overkill for me, but it also has a vast amount of info on PhotoShop (of course, half-vast is really enough) -- lol).

You can download a sample. I think it's a good beginner tool and reference.

CS2 is the thing to get. I'll check it out. THX
