I think I am going to change that rubber O-ring. Has anybody changed theirs? If so, what size and where?

Also think about just sanding it down, maybe that will make the cover more loose.

I'll take a pic of the last two and a half days of skimmate. Give me a few.

Kdb, they were supose to be in from china on the 26th to swc, then they will be shipped to MS and the other guys after that. First week of april is when they should get them. Its generally china to canada, customs, canada to US customs, then to MS and the other guys. HTH

Thread split huh? Awesome. My msx 160 still pulls only a medium wet skimmate, but its cool.

Have you cut down your stand pipe yet? I had the same issue, but after I was able to get the water line to the lower middle of the taper from the body to the neck, I have been able to skim much darker skimmate

Geez, photobucket took forever! Here's the last 2 1/2 Days. I'm skimming pretty dry now. The skimmate is pitch black.

Yeah I cut 2" off of it. I'm gonna remesh with flatback soon, just for the hell of it.

Where is your water line? I don't think that remeshing it would be a difference maker...although it is always fun to tinker. If your skimmer is wide-open and you are still getting wetter skimmate than you like, then cut off another 1-2" and that should do the trick. I cut 2" off mine, and then another 2", and it is pretty much right on now

No i have to close it quite a bit to set the break right at the neck curvature.

Any new skimmate shots? Looking for some reviews on the MSX 250.

Thanks

-Matthew

I have the MSX250 on my 180 display and a 75g sump/fuge and the thing is nuts. I am still cycling the setup right now, and with just the dry rock (Marco Rock) and the sand this thing is pulling out some of the nastiest stinkiest gunk I've ever had the displeasure of seeing/smelling. I would imagine this skimmer would be able to handle a tank twice this size with no problems.

Here's my 250 before I emptied it today (Friday), I had emptied it on Monday previously, so this is about 4 days worth.

Since everyone is posting their results here are mine... I had it running wetter for a little over one days worth. I'm very happy with the results. Mine is running in about 6-7 inches of water and am using the "smaller" tube--no cutting or anything.

Can anyone give me an idea of how much noise an MSX200 makes? Compared to others? Mabe a decible level?

Thanks.
