Yellow Assesor and Swalesi Basslet

I really want to get a Swalesi Basslet for my 65 gal tank. The lfs has a bunch of Yellow Assesors in right now. Being that they are both Basslets would it wise to purchase the yellow assessor? I will get a Swalesi at some point as he overrides the assesor in my fish choice. I just don't want to create a mess that I'll have to go back and clean up. They both are noted as being peaceful fish but I'm sure that is not always the case.

Currently, I have a Cave Basslet with a Yellow Assessor. There has never been any aggression between them. The Cave Basslet was added after the Yellow Assessor. IMO, you should not have any issues, especially if the Yellow Assessor is added first.

Thats good to hear. They don't particularly have the same body shape so I didn't think there would be a big issue. The assessor will be added first, most likely tomorrow.

i actually have them. I have a 30 gallon reef, Yellow assessor added first, swalesi 2 weeks after, don't even pay attention to eachother, and thats more confined space than yourself. Awesome combo by the way. Is it an O.R.A. yellow assessor?

I never see these (Yellow Assesors) at LFS's near me. Are they common by you? How much are they getting for them?

I have to assume that the ones at the lfs were ora. The place orders ora coral, clowns and gobies(neons). I would typically not buy fish from this place and was very hesitent. Friday is saltwater friday, the last friday of every month is buy one item get the second half off. I ended up passing on one of my other favorites, cryptic six-line for a fire shrimp. The assessor cost me $49 and I got the shrimp for half price. Anyway I went by the store yesterday to look over the fish again. 2 of them were in bad shape and the 3rd one was decent looking. The one I got was getting bullied by a damsel and had some of the fins torn up but otherwise didn't look too bad.

I also recieved an order from reefs2go this morning that had a new cleanup crew and 2 yasha hashe gobies. One of them paired up with my pistol right off the bat. I didn't see where the other one went.

thats a good price. They're a weird little fish, mine cracks me, up just remember if he swims belly up he's not dead :p!!!!! BTW something bite the fins up on mine and they have already grown back so if it is o.r.a. they're super hardy and almost indestructible. Good luck
