Yellow Assessor swimming habits.

Just noticed something about the way my Assessor swims.

First let me state this guy is very comfortable in the tank, right from his introduction he has never hidden and is always front and center. His normal swimming attitude is upside-down, normal for these guys when hanging in a cave but I thought it a little odd that mine does it constantly even though he stays out in the wide open.
So, now the interesting part. While I was checking out my tank in the ambient light from the sunrise I noticed the Assessor is swimming right side-up. After observing him for quite a while he has remained that way.

Just find it strange he swims upside-down with the lights on and right side-up when the lights are off. Anyone else have Assessors that behave this way?

I noticed the similar behavior when I was working at LFS. since gravity doesn't mean a thing to them I guess ups and downs really doesn't matter once the lights are out right?

Completely normal. They will swim upside down, side ways, etc. that's one of the things that make them cool in my opinion:)

Definitely normal. I have a cave in my tank, and I have seen him swim in a complete 360 deg. circle multiple times to ward off anyone who wants to enter the cave. Their behavior is just soo I triguing.

I realize it is normal but still find it odd that he would swim right side up when the lights are out.
I will check it out again this morning and see if he is doing the same thing again or if yesterday was just a fluke.
