Hi guys. I have had a 30 gallon tank for about a year and a half now and have had the basically the same inhabitants for the whole time. I have two black and white clowns (max size and the momma clown is definitely the boss), a yellowtail damsel (submissive to the other damsels), large cleaner shrimp, peppermint shrimp, one hermit crab, one cowrie snail, and two, small bubble tip anemones. Well, I have had these annoying vermetid snails for the whole time too and I am looking to get rid of them with the introduction of a fish that eats them because I could not take care of them through manual removal, there are just wayyyy too many. Could a small yellow coris wrasse (just large enough to be able to nibble at the big vermetids) work in this tank despite the size of the tank? Or are there any other suggestions to help take care of these pesky snails? I have a 20 gallon fuge with chaeto growing to try and combat the potential bioload too.
P.S. I know i need to get more than one snail and one hermit, I just have been worried about the introduction of any parasites. How many more/what kinds would you suggest I get? I seem to get a little bit of detritus on the top of the sandbed which I need to take care of.
Thank you so much for the help guys!
