Yellow Fiji Leather?

I have had this leather for 1 week now. It has brown on some of its edges. As I brushed off the brown the leather is white underneath and looks like it is dying. My water is good except for nitrates 20ppm. My question is should I cut off the brown? Oh the center of the leather is starting to look better and has small polyps. Thanks

Then put it at the top of your tank and pont the power head at it (from about 10 inches away) so that it is getting a ton of flow.

Untill it stops rotting, once a day, blast all of the rottin bits off with a power head (like an inch or two from the outlett)
