I bought a large toadstool about 4 months ago. Looks great and actually did too well. I placed it too high in the tank and in a short time I had to move it. Parts of the top were getting close to coming out of the water. The stem of the toadstool bonded with the rock next to it. The rocks were too crucial to the structure to take out of the tank. So I was really careful to pull the stalk away from the rock. Some of the tissue stayed behind. In a few days the coral healed and was back to normal. I figured the tissue would fade away that was left behind. Was very cool to see that some polyps are forming. Has four little heads with polyps.
